hey smudge! i had this song on a cd called another side of this life and if i remember correctly i played it as such:
Capo 4
[C (lifting middle finger and back) F (doing the same)] 2x
C G C
play all that twice for verse then
F
youve been taking up my time and steppin out of line
Dm G
and breakin up the dreams i had before
F
and i just can't take it anymore
G C
no i just won't make it anymore
i just play aroung with the C and F chords at every stage of the song
i hope this sounds correct to you, if not maybe it will help in some way!
i've been thinkin back on it babe
i guess it's been useless after all
i'm tired of seein all the days goin by
tearin the number off my wall
you've been taking up my time and steppin out of line
and breakin up the dreams i had before
and i just can't take it anymore
no i just won't make it anymore
you said once before you were lookin for a friend
who'd take the time to really get to know you
but you wanted me to kneel and forgot that i was real
and i guess i'm not per chance that far below you
you've been shakin up my bed and breakin up my head
so i'm waking up and turning in my score
and i just can't take it anymore
no i just won't make it anymore
i tried to do my best and it would have worked i guess
but i couldn't keep my eyes from seeing through you
so i'll go on alone and i'll leave you here at home
and forget the fact that i even knew you
well we could have done alot but we certainly did not
so i'll try to do the things i did before
and i just can't take it anymore
no i just won't make it anymore

i love the live version from the norwich show and am listening to the
dermot version now and it sounds even better!!!
do you have the gram parsons album with this and codine, high flyin bird , wheel of fortune, etc.
it's early home recordings but that song november nights is probably my favorite of gram's songs. i wish he would have re-recorded it.

here's my last givegoods demo. i guess it's called signal or picking up a signal?
Verse plays a D for a while then a quick A-G
instr. break A Em F#m F played twice
the end for purpose of playing on acoustic i just play
D A 3x then a G and repeat to the end
if anyone has any clue on "when the darknes doubles" (?) or Andy's song where i think he says "or ain't you jews heard of ladies night". not to offend anyone but i like that song alot and it really has me stumped!

PARAGON CAFE - Tim Rogers and the Temperance Union (Dress Me Slowly Bonus Disc)
Tabbed by Ello (chrisellison1@hotmail.com)
I've seen Tim play this live and I know it's probably not 100% how he plays it but it still sounds right.
It's a bloody good song too.
Capo 8th Fret
CHORDS

C* x32030
A7 x02020
A7* x02022

Intro/Verse: Gmaj7/C*/A7/C*
Gmaj7
We said goodbye to a friend yesterday,
C*
The kind of man that the wind takes away,
A7 A7*
Something like a hurricane,
C*
Weather that can take all hope from a face.
Gmaj7
Got a call from his best friend,
C*
I could hear his heart breakin' as he told me 'bout the end,
A7 A7*
Something so inevitable,
C* Gmaj7
From someone so unforgettable.
CHORUS:
Bm
And it'll only take 9 hours
C*
If you take the Hume Highway
Am C* Gmaj7 C*
And stop in for a cup of joe at the Paragon Cafe,
Bm C*
At the Paragon Cafe.
Broke up 'round the capital town,
Thought I'd spend the night to stop and think and throw a couple down,
Wound up on a toilet floor bleedin',
Seems so appropriate somehow.
I kept expecting you to pop up anytime,
"Hey Rogers! Make mine a big black pint!"
I guess that's gonna happen sometime when you had that face
That lit up like a highway neon sign.
It'll take a good 9 hours, To clear the Hume Highway
And stop in for some raisin toast at the Paragon Cafe,
At the Paragon Cafe.
Now everybody scrubbed up so clean,
I guess funerals'll do that, the shock leaves a sheen.
Man, the faces that came out
it was like the Annandale Hotel in '93
Your Mum, Dad and Pete made some hell of speeches,
Talkin' 'bout the life you crammed in so short 'n sweet,
And how you bowled a real good fast one as a greeting
to every new foreign street.
Guiness at eleven, with some kind of Schnapps confectionery,
Stories so fuckin' funny from every direction,
All until there was a silence and someone choked,
And like dominoes everyone broke.
Is it my cue to go? Scream at the road
With nothing but volume and too many smokes
What the hell do you when the lights you've been
following trail off to nowhere?
Do you just give up and fall in? I don't know.
And it'll take a good 9 hours,
To clear the Hume Highway
She sells sanctuaries, sending me off, down the Paragon...
Coffee toast from that waitress - man she never smiles!
to break a long and lonely drive,
Make some sense out of this damn day down the Paragon Cafe,
Down the Paragon Cafe
Down the Paragon Cafe.

does your mother know
smudge (abba)
intro & between verses: D
verse: D(6) Bm(2) D(2) G(2) F#m(2) Em(2) D(2) A(8) D(8)
Chorus: G(2) C(2) x3 D(4) G(2) C(2) x3 D(4)
Take it easy: G(2) D(2) G(2) Bm(2) x2 (this part is in cut time)
end: C~~~~~G~~~~~~D~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
Youre so hot, teasing me
So youre blue but I cant take a chance on a chick like you
Thats something I couldnt do
Theres that look in your eyes
I can read in your face that your feelings are driving you wild
Ah, but girl youre only a child
Well I can dance with you honey
If you think its funny
Does your mother know that youre out?
And I can chat with you baby
Flirt a little maybe
Does your mother know that youre out?
Take it easy (take it easy)
Better slow down girl
Thats no way to go
Does your mother know?
Take it easy (take it easy)
Try to cool it girl
Take it nice and slow
Does your mother know?
I can see what you want
But you seem pretty young to be searching for that kind of fun
So maybe Im not the one
Now youre so cute, I like your style
And I know what you mean when you give me a flash of that smile (smile)
But girl youre only a child
Well I can dance with you honey
If you think its funny
Does your mother know that youre out?
And I can chat with you baby

thought i'd list the lyrics and chords separate since i never get the spacing right. and i guess it's obvious but the number in the ( ) is the beats the chord is played

high anxiety
godstar
G(2) Am(1) G(1) C(2) D(1) G(1) repeat many times
break: Em(4) Am(4) repeated sometimes
after the first verse the break comes in between the G and C in the verse
the second time it comes in after the whole progression
i can't stand myself watchin you
you know i pinch myself, it's too good to be real
when we can take a holiday, wrap it up and tie it our special way
now you know what's on my mind, i've taken my time
i wanna stand on top of a buliding
baby shout out your name right across city lights
you gotta be there by my side because i'm afraid that i'm afraid of heights
what goes up must come down we're playin this song first hand
every day leads to something new just have to space it around
now-over the town-what goes up must come down
repeat all
just don't mention my name in front of your family again
just don't mention my name in front of your family again
now-over the town-what goes up must come down
what goes up must come down, what goes up must come down
