As I generally roll with the cheapest handset that Virgin Mobile have on offer, mobile surfing is something that's not exactly on my radar at the moment.

Just doing a quick search, there are a few things that look like they may have potential in terms of sorting it out. Leave it with us and we'll get back to you...

Great, thanks! The main issue is with the thread titles. They are in red, on a red background, so difficult to see. The formatting is also messed up. Good luck!

Duly noted - really good feedback to have, particularly as it's like alien technology to me at the moment. I'll run it by Roo in the morning.

Mr Coffee Man - quick reply doesn't actually come with the initial build of the software, so it's something Roo would have to add in manually. Given how much of a pain in the arse it was to get it working on the old forum software, I don't imagine this will be top of her to-do list. It is something I'll poke her gently with though, as it was a great little feature and actually my main method of posting.

For now, we've been dealing mainly with the general look, and my guess is that little functionality tweaks will be incorporated as we go along. I say "we". Basically I've been arsing around having a play with little gif images in Photoshop while Roo has been slaving away through pages and pages of code.

Main thing I'm pleased to hear is that the new design seems to have gone down well with people, so thanks ever so much for all the positive feedback. If you have any gripes at all, no matter how minor they may seem, do let us know.

As always, we reserve the right to tell you to fuck right off and just cope.

Yeah absolutely loving the new look and feel.. Just thought I'd bring it up as I found it so handy in the old forum.

There doesn't seem to be a decent solution available yet for converting the site for mobile use but we'll keep an eye on the stuff that's in development.

For now, you could try using this basic text conversion:
http://www.google.com/gwt/n?u=http://forum.evandando.co.uk%2F&_gwt_noimg=1

I know it's not the quickest thing to type into your phone though, and we will keep looking for a better solution!

Have added the quick reply option as requested. :D

If anyone isn't a fan, and doesn't want the option shown, you can hide it by going into your user control panel, then board preferences and select edit display options.

i've noticed that when you try to add an image in a post using the url of the image between the image tags that it will not display and then gives this message....

"It was not possible to determine the dimensions of the image."

just thought i'd point that out.

 Looks like it's a known issue with the software. Have tried a couple of suggested fixes but with no luck so far, will keep an eye on developments and any possible fixes.

Couple of little gremlins I've noticed--

--When you go here from an email notification, it opens on the post referred to in the email (like it's supposed to), but after about 10 seconds jumps down to the bottom, in the Quick Reply area.

--It disables the active spell checker on the Google toolbar. Hitting the spell check button makes the font size button in the reply bar click. The AutoFix option works, and fixes obvious mistakes, though.

Not complaining, just a FYI!

Have applied a suggested fix for the jump to quick reply, if you could let me know if it's still a problem I'd appreciate it.

Will try and look into the google toolbar thing, what browser/version are you using?

The jump has stopped, and the Google spellchecker is suddenly working too. I'm going to spell a word wrong right now to check again... Yes! Both gremlins evicted! Thank you. :D

If it's still relevent--

It's still there as an option and was working fine when I tested it.
