New here
Hi. I am new here. Have been a Lemonheads fan since the early 90's. Just saw Evan live for the 1st time at his Philly show in December. Really great show. Dragged my black metal loving husband along and he even had to admit he enjoyed it. The Tin Angel is a pretty cool venue, very intimate, had not been there before. I think my husband was won over by the gg allin cover, he found it on one of his gg cds and played it for me later. I also saw him with a pile of my Lemonhead CDs when he was working on downloading IPOD songs but he claims he was just "looking for something."
Really excited about the new album. I was amazed at how accessible Evan was at the show, have to admit to being a little star struck. Also recently found out that Evan used to hang out with an old friend of mine back in London who I recently got back in touch with so that was kind of thrilling for me.
Anyway great site, am sure I will be checking in for news & updates.

Hi! Did you actually talk to Evan then? We love Evan's commentary here.

Did not really talk to him, but before the show started he walked back towards the bar area, kind of hunched over like we might not realize it was him. After the show I was waiting for the bathroom and he walked by. I had a little liquid courage in me so I reached out and touched him and said "Your the best". He said "Thanks" . So that was the extent of the conversation but must admit felt like a schoolgirl and was riding on a high for like a week afterwards.

That's nice that you were able to tell him your true feelings and that he appreciated it. Some artists aren't so kind. I can understand why you felt good afterwards. Keep that feeling close and you'll have a great memory forever.jmhallam wrote:After the show I was waiting for the bathroom and he walked by. We're glad to have you here. This site is a bit different than some other music forums I've been on but the people here are very supportive of each other and have a great sense of humor.
